
Kinova today announced the appointment of Axel Weber as Vice President, Medical – Europe. The appointment is part of the company's growth strategy in the European medical market, as Kinova celebrates 20 years of innovation and accelerates the rollout of KIMA, its robotic arm purpose-built for clinical environments.
An engineer by training, Axel has dedicated his career to medical robotics for more than a decade. He notably led a dedicated medical business unit within a leading European robotics group, where he helped establish robotics as a recognized tool across the continuum of care, from diagnostics to the operating room. Well known in the medical robotics industry, he is regarded as a valuable and reliable partner by clinical and industry stakeholders alike.
Leading Kinova's European medical activities, Axel will be responsible for building the company's presence across the continent, developing partnerships with medical device manufacturers (OEMs), and supporting clinical teams in adopting the KIMA robotic arm.
